The registration portal was officially launched on 23 July 2026 by the Honourable Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Muhammed Maigari Dingyadi, who declared the portal open and announced that it would remain accessible for one week to enable interested eligible unemployed Nigerians to apply for the programme.
During the registration period, the portal experienced minor technical disruptions on Saturday, 25 July 2026. To ensure that no eligible applicant was disadvantaged, the National Directorate of Employment extended the registration period by one additional day to compensate for the temporary interruption.
With the registration exercise now concluded, the Directorate will immediately commence the collation, verification, and assessment of applications. Successful applicants will be selected strictly in accordance with the programme guidelines and will be notified through the Directorate’s official communication channels.
The Director-General of the National Directorate of Employment, H.E. Silas Ali Agara, expresses appreciation to Nigerians for the overwhelming interest in the programme and thanks applicants for their patience, understanding, and cooperation throughout the registration exercise. He also commended the Honourable Minister of Labour and Employment for his unwavering support and commitment to the successful implementation of the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative.
The Director-General assures the public that the automated selection process will be transparent, fair, and merit-based. He urged applicants to rely only on information disseminated through the National Directorate of Employment’s official channels and to disregard false information or individuals claiming they can influence or guarantee selection into the programme.
The National Directorate of Employment remains committed to the successful implementation of the Third Phase of the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative (RHEI 3) and to provide opportunities for unemployed Nigerians through skills acquisition, entrepreneurship development, and sustainable livelihoods in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Federal Government.
