Zamfara NYSC Camp Director Charges Corps Members On Discipline, Good Conduct

The Camp Director, 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream I Orientation Course, Zamfara State, Mallam Jabir Mamman, has charged corps members deployed to the state to display good attitude and maintain high level of discipline throughout the orientation exercise.

Mallam Mamman gave the charge on Tuesday while addressing corps members on the first day of the meditation session at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Tsafe.

Welcoming the corps members to Zamfara State and to the camp, the Camp Director congratulated them on their successful graduation and call-up for national service, describing the NYSC scheme as a platform for national unity, service and self-discovery.

He urged the corps members to quickly familiarise themselves with their new environment, settle down for the task ahead and abide strictly by all camp rules and regulations.

According to him, discipline remains the bedrock of the orientation course and every corps member is expected to conduct himself and herself responsibly at all times both within and outside the camp.

Mallam Mamman also took time to highlight some of the dos and don’ts of the NYSC Scheme, reminding the corps members that certain behaviours such as lateness to activities, insubordination, use of unauthorized exits and disregard for dress code will not be tolerated.

He noted that camp officials, including soldiers, Man O' War officials and NYSC staff, are in camp to guide, mentor and direct them on what to do throughout the three-week orientation course.

The Camp Director therefore called on the corps members to cooperate fully with camp officials, respect constituted authorities and contribute their quota towards the success of the orientation course.

He assured them that the State Coordinator and the entire camp management have put adequate measures in place to ensure their safety, welfare and comfort throughout their stay in camp.

He wished them a hitch-free and memorable orientation experience in Zamfara State.
