The funeral arrangements for Hajiya Hauwa’u Kulu Hassan Muhammad Nasiha Gusau, affectionately known as Aunty, have been officially postponed. A statement issued by Tukur Bello Manager, the Director-General of Media to His Excellency, Senator Dr. Hassan Muhammad Nasiha Gusau, confirms that the Janazah prayer will not proceed as previously planned.
The postponement is attributed to logistical challenges concerning the arrival of her remains. The statement clarified that the delay is due to the pending arrival of the deceased's body, which was expected but has not yet been confirmed. Consequently, the funeral will not take place on the initially scheduled Tuesday.
The family and officials have assured the public that a new date, time, and venue for the funeral rites will be announced promptly once there is confirmation of the arrival of the remains. The statement appealed for understanding and continued prayers from the community during this period of adjustment.
In the interim, the public is urged to remember the deceased in their prayers. The family solicits supplications for divine mercy, asking that Almighty Allah forgive her shortcomings, accept her righteous deeds, and grant her the highest paradise, Al-Jannatul Firdaus. They also pray for strength and fortitude for the bereaved family to endure the loss.
This development has necessitated a change in plans for many who intended to pay their last respects. The community is advised to await further official communication regarding the final arrangements. The emphasis remains on a dignified and proper Islamic burial once all necessary logistics are firmly in place
