Guests on this week's edition were the PDP Publicity Secretary, Kabirudeen Muhammad Tsafe, the PDP State Chairman, the State PDP Women Leader, Maryam Lawal Gumi, and the PDP Chairman of Shinkafi Local Government, Honourable Nasiru Yusuf Shinkafi.
Speaking during the programme, the Shinkafi Local Government PDP Chairman said there is no more formidable party in Zamfara North Senatorial District except the PDP, stressing that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is politically dead in the zone.
"As it stands today, there is no party in Zamfara North that can challenge the PDP. The APC is completely dead in this area. What we are only waiting for is election day, and on that day, Iowa will witness what we are saying," he said.
The Chairman recalled the PDP governorship primary contest between Engineer Ibrahim Shehu Bakauye and the incumbent Governor Dauda Lawal, noting that it was a tough battle before Dauda Lawal eventually clinched the ticket.
"When Engineer Ibrahim Shehu Bakauye was seeking the governorship ticket alongside Dauda Lawal, it was a fierce contest before Dauda narrowly got the ticket, because of the strength and doggedness of Engineer Bakauye," he said.
He explained that despite supporting Dauda Lawal before and after he became governor, he and his supporters were abandoned after the victory.
"We supported Dauda Lawal's aspiration before he became governor and even after he emerged. In the end, he abandoned us. Because of his emergence as governor, I lost my position and none of the promises he made to me were fulfilled," the Chairman lamented.
He said the reason they left Dauda Lawal and returned to support Engineer Ibrahim Shehu Bakauye is because of his track record when he was a House of Representatives member representing Gusau and Tsafe.
"We know what Engineer did in the past when he was a member of the House representing Gusau and Tsafe. He did what everyone saw on the ground, there was no lies and no deceit. He extended his goodwill projects to all the fourteen local government areas of the state," he added.
Describing Engineer Bakauye as a courageous and experienced leader, the Shinkafi PDP Chairman said he is a man who listens to people and takes advice from important stakeholders, and will use his experience to address the security challenges bedeviling the state.
"Engineer Ibrahim Shehu Bakauye is a courageous man who has seen yesterday and today. He is a man who understands the job and listens to people. By God's grace, he will use this experience to tackle the security problem in this state," he said.
He expressed confidence that victory for the PDP in 2027 is already visible, saying public opinion on social media clearly shows that the APC is dead in Zamfara.
"The main reason that has killed the APC is giving the DG Campaign position to former Governor Mahmuda Aliyu Shinkafi, even though there is no official announcement yet. Whether it is him or not, history will repeat itself in the 2027 election," he said.
He recalled that whenever politicians changed parties in Zamfara, they lost elections.
"When Governor Mahmuda Aliyu Shinkafi defected from ANPP to PDP, he lost the election. Bello Matawalle lost because he defected. Similarly, Dauda Lawal has now defected from PDP to APC and by God's grace, he will also lose. Engineer Ibrahim Shehu Bakauye will inherit this leadership in 2027," the Shinkafi PDP Chairman declared.
