“We commend him for creating direct and indirect job opportunities through internships, NYSC placements, skills acquisition programs in camera work, editing, presenting, and digital content creation. Many of our polytechnic graduates are today building careers in NTA because of the doors he has opened,” NAPS added.
The Association noted that by embracing new media and technology, the DG has enabled young Nigerians to participate in storytelling, entrepreneurship, and innovation within the media industry.
“This aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on job creation and youth development. You are building not just programs, but people and careers,” NAPS stated.
CALL FOR DEEPER COLLABORATION:
NAPS pledged to partner with NTA to establish NAPS-NTA Media Training Hubs in polytechnics, expand internship slots for HND graduates, and create a annual NAPS-NTA Youth in Broadcasting Awards to celebrate young talents.
“We congratulate Mallam Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos on his remarkable achievements. Your leadership is a shining example of what public service should be. We look forward to deeper collaboration for the benefit of Nigerian students and youth,” the statement concluded.
