The flag-off ceremony, which drew hundreds of supporters, party officials, and traditional stakeholders, marked the official start of political activities for the Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking at the event, Yasin Kaura said the campaign would focus on security, youth empowerment, education, and grassroots development. He called on residents to remain united and support candidates with the capacity to attract development to the constituency.
In a gesture aimed at strengthening party structures, the candidate distributed motorcycles to key party officials. He presented one motorcycle each to the PDP Chairmen of Kaura Namoda and Birnin Magaji Local Government Areas.
He also handed over six additional motorcycles to the Secretaries and Youth Leaders of both LGAs. According to him, the support is to ease their movement in mobilizing members and coordinating activities across wards and polling units.
Party leaders at the rally commended Yasin Lukman Kaura for the empowerment drive, describing it as timely ahead of the electioneering period. They assured him of the party’s commitment to deliver the constituency in 2027.
The campaign flag-off ended with prayers for peace and a successful election in Zamfara State.
